Our sustainable packaging

At Amyra London, we are environmentally conscious and believe in giving back to our community and our environment. As safe-keepers of this earth, we take our impact on our planet seriously, we are determined to consciously contribute by using eco-friendly and sustainable packaging. 

Given the current pandemic situation many businesses in the UK have been severely affected. In efforts to give back to our nation, we have ensured to source and support our UK businesses to supply our packaging materials. 

How to maintain our packaging

Recyclable 

A recyclable item means that its materials can be recycled so that they can be used again. This reduces the amount of waste piling up at the landfills.

If you reside in the UK, you can put these items in the paper/plastic recycling bins which are collected weekly. You can recycle our following packaging:

• Envelope
• All cards ( thank you, wash & care, hijab magnet, premium brooch)
• All poly covers (underscarfs, hijab magnets, premium brooch, scrunchies, free pins pack)

Re-usable 

A re-usable item means you can re-use the products again, save natural resources, protect the environment and save your money. You can re-use our following packaging:

• Premium frosted pouch
• Signature premium ribbon

Biodegradable

Biodegradable refers to a product breaking down into natural elements, carbon dioxide, and water vapor by organisms like bacteria and fungi. 

To earn a biodegradable label, products and materials must quickly decompose into natural materials. Third party certifiers typically restrict acceptable breakdown times between six and nine months. Our below mentioned packaging is biodegradable: 

• Mailing bag 

Compostable

Compostable materials decompose into tiny pieces and break down into water, carbon dioxide, biomass and inorganic compounds in 90 days without any toxic residue. 

They have zero negative impact on the environment. Our packaging below is compostable:

• Acid-free tissue paper
